The Second Republic
We declare as axiom that no human society is perfect, and after a period of growth and experimentation, societies become stagnant and decline. So it has always been. However, we also see peoples and cultures which endure; and ideas which prove useful time and again. It is the goal of these papers to define a Second Republic which is more perfect than the First, to be enacted by Men upon the Globe at some future time and in some way.
A Republic is more than its constitution and more than its people. It is more than its language and more than its lands. It is more than its aspirations and more than its corporate brand.
In the following papers we will present axiomatic definitions in order to ensure earnest and faithful discussion among the several readers and the strictest fidelity among those who make this Republic. We shall proceed through several Legally-Binding definitions and discussions until we have sufficient wisdom to define a Constitution in writing; we shall write such a Constitution; and we shall then provide some additional notes on proscription and prohibition within our well-Hopeful culture and government yet to be.
Let’s start.
